Officiated the 1996 Schick Rookie Game. Seven years of collegiate officiating experience in the Big Eight, Missouri Valley, Midwestern Collegiate and Mid-Continent Conferences. 18 years of high school officiating experience in Illinois. Inducted into the Chicago High School Basketball Hall of Fame as a referee. Officiated Chicagoland Pro Football for three seasons. Played semi-pro football for nine years – three-time MVP and one-time player of the year. Played minor league baseball for the San Francisco Giants. Played in the North American Professional Softball League. Among his awards were MVP, batting champ, RBI champ and player of the week six times. Played on seven 16-inch softball national championship team and was named MVP three times and was named to the all-tournament team 10 times, as well as being inducted into the Chicago Softball Hall of Fame. Played on the 1984 12-inch softball national championship team and was named to the all-tournament team. He was inducted into the Illinois 12-inch Softball Hall-of-Fame. Is a tennis instructor in his spare time. Hobbies include owing and riding horses, biking, attending USTA leagues and tournaments, playing softball, boating and water skiing, rollerblading, raising chickens and selling chicken eggs. |
